A serialized gothic novel · New Orleans, 1887
A tale of darkness, desire & eternal damnation
In the gaslit streets of the old French Quarter, secrets slumber beneath the cobblestones —
and some doors, once opened, are never shut again.
One time. All chapters. Forever.
About the Book
New Orleans, 1887. Sébastien Delacroix has walked the rain-slicked streets of the Vieux Carré for longer than the city can remember — a vampire adrift in his own eternity, haunted by the taste of sunlight he can no longer touch. When he first glimpses Celeste Durand reading by candlelight on a balcony above Rue Saint-Anne, something stirs in him that centuries of darkness had almost extinguished.
But beneath the cobblestones of the French Quarter, something older than Sébastien is also waking. Buried under Saint Louis Cathedral lies the Chalice — an ancient relic of blood and memory, stirred to life by the machinations of Lucien, Sébastien's cold and calculating maker. As the city bleeds in silence and the pulse beneath its foundations grows stronger, Sébastien must confront the ancient oath he once swore — and decide what he is willing to sacrifice to protect the woman who has made him remember what it means to feel.
The Blood Chalice is a serialized gothic novel released chapter by chapter, every two weeks — just as the great Victorian serials were once delivered to eager readers who waited breathlessly for the next installment.
